The myth that entrepreneurs are born and cannot be developed no more holds good. It had been proved that entrepreneurship can be developed if proper planned efforts are made. With the prevalence of liberalization, Privatization and globalization there are plenty of opportunities to take-up the new projects to earn their livelihood and also to provide employment to the needy people. Entrepreneurship development is a pre requisite for overall economic development of any country. This helps in removing unemployment, promotion of small scale units, development of industrial regions and overall economic development. The government of India is giving top priority for industrial development and EDP through several schemes and programmes.
The newly formed Telangana state promises in achieving fast economic, industrial and social
development. People of the state have very high expectations from the Telangana State Government for creating jobs forth e youth, promote development of backward areas, maximize growth opportunities by optimum utilization of the available resources to harness the talents and skills of the people and usher prosperity in every household. Industrialization holds potential entrepreneurs for fulfilling all the dreams and aspirations of the people of Telangana.
The Telangana Government is very keen in promoting entrepreneurial development as a part of their unique Industrial policy. Schemes are being implemented for encouraging startups and extending financial, technical and legal help to needy entrepreneurs. TS i-pass, TS Hub, Industry corridors, Industry Park etc. are some initiatives which promise great support to entrepreneurs. In this backdrop, the issues, policy initiatives, problems and future prospects of entrepreneurship need to be deliberated through different forums.
